About a year ago, God pressed on my heart to go deeper in His Word as to the true meaning of the rainbow. Almost immediately He gave me the words “glory and grace”. The rainbow is a beautiful symbol of God’s incredible glory, and the promise of His constant grace. Four times in the Bible we find the mention of the rainbow. The first time in Genesis when God revealed His rainbow in the sky as a reminder to Himself of the covenant promise He made with His creation (Gen. 9:13-17), His constant grace. And then 3 other times in Ezekiel and Revelation (Ezekiel 1:28; Rev. 4:3; Rev 10:1), describing His incredible glory.
As we look around and see rainbows being used in other ways to celebrate and symbolize, we tend to miss the true meaning as revealed in the Bible. In a world telling us otherwise, we invite you to turn your eyes upon Jesus! See that it is God revealing Himself in the beauty of the rainbow. It will ALWAYS, ONLY, EVER BE ABOUT HIM! We stand in awe of our wonderful Savior, and celebrate God’s glory and grace!
